Shipping Information

Delivery Area

I currently ship to addresses within the United Kingdom only, excluding Northern Ireland.

Delivery Times & Service Used

  • All orders are dispatched via Royal Mail using a tracked delivery service.
  • I aim to dispatch your order within 3–4 working days from the date you place your order (excluding weekends and UK public holidays).
  • Delivery times are estimates only and may vary depending on your location and unforeseen circumstances (e.g. postal delays or extreme weather).
  • If you require delivery by a specific date, please contact me in advance. While I will do my best to meet your request, I cannot guarantee delivery by a specific date.
     

Shipping Costs

  • Delivery charges are calculated and displayed at checkout before you confirm your order.
  • Costs may vary based on your location, package size, and weight.

Delivery Address

  • Please ensure your delivery address is 100% accurate and complete during checkout.
  • I am not responsible for delays, loss, or non-delivery caused by incorrect, incomplete, or unclear address details supplied by the buyer.
  • In such cases, refunds or replacements may not be issued.
     

Risk & Ownership

  • The risk of loss or damage passes to you once your items are delivered to the address you provided.
  • Ownership of the products transfers to you only once full payment (including shipping charges) is received.

Accepted Payment Methods

  • Payment is securely processed through Square at the time of purchase.
  • Orders will only be dispatched once payment is received in full.
     

Pricing

  • All prices are listed in GBP (£) and are exclusive of VAT, as I am not VAT-registered.
  • Any applicable delivery charges are clearly displayed at checkout.
     

Payment Security

  • Payments are processed through Square's PCI DSS-compliant gateway.
  • I do not store your full payment details.
     

Order Confirmation

  • You will receive an order confirmation email upon placing your order.
  • A dispatch confirmation will follow once your order has been shipped. Your order is considered accepted only upon dispatch.
  • By purchasing, you confirm you are 18 years or older.

Returns, Refunds, Exchanges, and Consumer Rights

Your Legal Rights

Your rights are protected under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, Consumer Rights Act 2015, and the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).

Returns & Exchanges

  • You have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving it, in accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations.
  • To cancel, please notify me in writing (e.g., via email to email@giraffebear.co.uk) within the 14-day period.
  • Returns are only accepted if the item is returned in a resalable condition – unused, undamaged, and in its original packaging.
  • The buyer may be responsible for the cost of return postage, unless the item is faulty, damaged, or incorrect.
     

Refunds will only be issued under the following conditions:

  • The item is returned in sellable condition (as described above);
  • The delivery address provided was accurate and complete at the time of ordering;
  • Return is made within 14 days of notifying cancellation.
     

Once the return is received or suitable proof of return is provided, I will process your refund within 14 days.

Faulty or Damaged Items

  • If your item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact me within 14 days of receipt at email@giraffebear.co.uk.
  • To process a refund or replacement, photo evidence of the damage, defect, or incorrect item is required.
  • Once verified, I will arrange a replacement or issue a full refund, including any reasonable return shipping costs where applicable.
     

How to Return Items

  • Please ensure products are returned in their original condition and packaging where possible.
     
  • Use a reliable tracked shipping service for returns, as you are responsible for return shipping costs (unless the product is faulty or incorrect).
     
  • Keep proof of postage until your return is received.

 

Lost Packages

  • If your package goes missing during delivery, please contact me as soon as possible.
  • I will liaise with Royal Mail to investigate and, where appropriate, arrange a replacement or refund.
